The top of the range KiddyGuard Avant safety gate disappears when not in use. The sleek Avant is a great choice for stylish homes and combines the best in safety and design.

Available in black and white to blend with all interiors, Avant is a discreet barrier that makes wide doorways or spaces safer. Working just like a roller blind, the Avant has no horizontal beams or trip hazards and is made from a safety mesh that is strong enough to withstand the impact of up to 100kgs.

The gate can be operated with one hand and can be set to automatically lock once the gate has been closed.

All KiddyGuard gates meet current EU safety standards.

Minimal space is needed to install the gate and there are simple and easy fitting videos and instructions.

The KiddyGuard is perfect for parents who want their safety gate to blend in at home. The mesh screen rolls away neatly into a square aluminium case to protect it from dirt and wear and tear.

Cheeky Tip

If you are attaching your KiddyGuard to a wall with skirting board, fix a piece of wood of equal width to the skirting board between the top bracket and the wall. Or try the skirting installation kit.

Q & A's

Product Questions

Why can a KiddyGuard only be used with children up to 2 years old?
Can I attach it to wood or stone masonry or glass?
We are looking for a safety gate for our church where we have a new staircase. There is no room at the top and bottom of the stairs for a swing ate so this seems like a good option. What is the total height of the gate when installed (we need to fit it in under the handrail / banister rail and i can't find the height anywhere on the site). We have a maximum of 850mm available in height.
One side of my stair banister is a metal post. Does this come with a kit to attach to this type of stair?

Very good product, high price tag, the most expensive safety gate on the market but worth every penny. Solid build, easy to put up, very child proof, cant see it unless you have the gate closed shut, would recommend to anyone

Got this product as we just didn't have room for a conventional stair gate in our small cottage.Yes it is expensive but it does the job brilliantly and is sturdy and very easy to open and close one handed.

We love our KiddyGuard - an expensive option but well worth it. When open we never really notice it's there, closed it feels much more friendly than the usual bars - never liked the prison feel!! Plus, it's always seemed crazy to fit something that puts in a trip bar at the top of the stairs, so for me the Kiddyguard was a no brainer (it leaves the top of the stairs completely free). Fitting it wasn't too bad, had to screw it to the wall, but that feels safer than just pressure pads. To make it straight we needed to find a piece of wood that matched the skirting, but that took seconds, and now we have a gate that looks great and is really easy to use.

Just installed the Avant Kiddyguard and am really pleased that it was easy to fit with the help of the fitting video on the website. It is easy to use and I love the way it tucks neatly into the casing when it is not in use. Already I can see that my son knows that he is not able to access the stairs now
